In Greene County magistrate court Floyd William Laxon Jr of Jefferson was sentenced May 19 to seven days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault, amended from domestic abuse assault. The jail time was suspended and he was placed on informal probation for one year. He must complete an anger management course. Laxson was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. Court costs were $60.
Ian Russell Patterson of Des Moines was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge after he pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct- fighting/violent behavior, amended from domestic abuse- assault. Court costs were $31.50.
Cases were initiated in magistrate court as follows: Ryan Joseph Murphy of Jefferson, possession drug paraphernalia; and Zachery Allen Waters of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia.
